Zeke's Cool New Room!

So, the nursery is finally completed!!! I LOVE IT!!! It turned out so cute and is full of little projects that have lots of love in them.
This is the "from the door" view of the room. I decided to do one accent wall of red, which we had a gallon of in our garage that I got for a dollar at a "mistint" sale at Sherwin Williams almost a year ago. Turned out to be perfect for the room.

This is the changing table that Zeke's Pappaw Troy and Grandma Vicky got for him. The Cat In the Hat wall clings are from Troy's Aunt Martha. The personalized hanger is from Britany, a friend of mine in Wesson, and the bags are from his Aunt Becca.
These two paintings were done by Zeke's talented Aunt Stevie. The rocker is from his Pappaw Keith and Shooby Do (Mama).

This crib we purchased from our former tenants for a GREAT deal! The "Oh the Places You'll Go" painting was a gift from a friend of Aunt Tammy's.

----- INDIVIDUAL PROJECTS -----
The Quilt: This was sort of the theme for the entire room. When we decided to do a Dr. Seuss nursery, we realized afterward how difficult it is to find Dr. Seuss stuff. I saw some nursery bedding online from Pottery Barn which was CRAZY expensive. So, instead, I stole the concept and made it my own. :) Aunt Tammy, Troy and I picked out the fabric and Mammaw Ruby helped with the sewing. (Actually, she did the majority of it.)
It turned out that we bought WAY too much fabric, which we ended up using on the projects in the rest of the room.

Floor Pillow: a large pillow for Zeke to lay on the floor made out of extra lime and white striped fabric.

Bumper Pad: also made out of extra fabric.

Mobile: this turned out to be one of my favorites. We took two different sized plastic buckets and cut two rings from them. (Thanks, Kevin, for finding and cutting the buckets.) We then wrapped those rings in left over fabric. There is an ABC book by Dr. Seuss, so we took wooden ABC-123 and painted them to match the fabric on the quilt. It turned out SO CUTE, not to mention one of a kind!!

I painted the top painting to make a grouping for behind the crib. The bottom was a gift.

Aunt Tammy and I sewed this curtain from fabric that is also in the quilt. The tie back is more left over fabric.

This was a night stand in the old guest bedroom that has some bubbling on the veneer on the top. No worries - left over red striped fabric made an adorable runner!

This was the lamp on the nightstand of the old guest room. I covered it with leftover fabric and ribbon.

This throw pillow for the rocking chair - also left over fabric.

And the GREATEST creation of all...

Wow - you and your family are so crazy talented and imaginative (not that I'm actually surprised!). The baby and the room are adorable.

Maybe you should go into the decorating business. Thanks for sharing all your cute ideas!
